Exam Rules and Reminders

* IMPORTANT EXAM INFORMATION *

Please know that exams will begin at the time listed for each exam. We strongly advise you to be at the law center 30 minutes prior to your exam. If you are typing your exam and you are late, you will be sent to the writing room, NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE!

Room location will be posted in the atrium 30 minutes prior to the start of each exam.

You are not permitted to use any of the lecture rooms, classrooms or seminar rooms for study purposes during the exam period.

Be sure to bring pencils, pens and highlighters with you to your exam.

You are permitted to bring a snack and drink into exam rooms. Please do not bring in snacks that may disrupt other students. Please remember to throw away any food/candy wrappers, water bottles and soda cans when leaving the exam room.

* If you are typing your exams and you experience a computer problem, you need to notify the proctor so he/she can call computer services to the room. You need to start writing your exam immediately. Bluebooks will be available in all typing rooms. If the computer services support staff is able to fix your computer, start typing where you left off in the bluebook. Do not go back and type in your written answers, you will waste time doing this, just continue to type where you left off in the blue book.

If your professor is allowing you to use a calculator to take your exam, it is your responsibility to bring one. The Office of Student Services will not be providing calculators. You are not permitted to use the calculator in your cell phone.

You are not permitted to have or use electronic devices during exams. That means no cell phones, no ipods, no pda’s, etc. If you are observed with any such devices during exams, you will be subject to disciplinary action.
