Admission Information
The goal of the admissions process is to identify candidates who have or currently work in the business or human resource field and would benefit from a Employment Law degree. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of academic achievements as shown through their academic record, and familiarity with the employment issues as shown by the personal statement, and prior or current work experience. Professional experience in business or human resources is required as well as two letters of recommendation.
Admission to the program is on a rolling basis beginning September of each year. Applications are processed as they are received. All application material must be received by the admissions office no later than June 30, 2009 for the July, 2009 start. Application material is considered: the application, application fee, signature page, official transcripts,
two letters of recommendation with the recommendation forms completed by both applicant and evaluator, and the personal statement. The admissions committee may request further material or supporting documentation from applicants.
Students are provisionally admitted to a degree-seeking program based on a review of unofficial transcripts or other specific program admissions requirements. However, this admission includes a condition without final and official documents and requirements must be received within 90 calendar days for the start of the term. If these final and official documents and/or requirements are not received by that time, the student will not be allowed to continue class attendance. Financial aid will not be disbursed to a provisional/conditional student until her or she has been fully admitted as a regular student (all admissions requirements have been approved by the college/program admission office).
The M.S. in Employment Law program is currently not open to attorneys, foreign attorneys, or law students in the US or any other country.
