UNITED NATIONS DEPOSITORY LIBRARY

UNITED NATIONS DEPOSITORY LIBRARY PROGRAM

In July 1997, Nova Southeastern University’s Law Library and Technology Center (LLTC) was designated a full depository library for United Nations documents in English.   Our depository library number is DL-303.

Because we are part of a private university, the LLTC’s primary patrons are NSU law students, faculty and staff.  We also serve the entire NSU community, NSU Law alumni, other local attorneys, and the surrounding community.  UN depository library materials are available during the LLTC’s hours of operation.  Other UN depository libraries in Florida are at public universities, and might provide additional services to the general public.

Locating UN materials in the LLTC
UN depository items are housed on the first floor of the LLTC.  They are shelved according to UN document symbol.  Documents can be found by using NovaCat, the University Libraries’ online catalog, or the UN indexes shelved at the end of the UN depository collection.

UN Online Documents
The Law Library & Technology Center offers the general public free access to online UN information provided through the depository program, on the same principle of free access that governs the use of printed depository materials.

Access to online United Nations documents is provided via a public workstation with attached printer, located on the second floor of the LLTC, in the Reference area.  You are not required to present identification in order to use this computer, and no passwords are needed to access any of the UN resources.

If you wish to download online United Nations information, you may send the information via email, or download to your own storage devide (such as a flash or jump drive).

A librarian is available to help you during the Reference assistance hours listed above.  If you do not need help, you may access online United Nations documents on your own.

All Internet use is subject to the University’s Acceptable Use of Computing Resources policy.
