The Nova Southeastern University Law Library and Technology Center (LLTC) was designated a Law Library Depository on October 7, 1982. Our Federal Depository Library number is 0107C. We are located in the 20th Congressional district.
The Federal Depository Libraries' video, "Easy AS FDL: Free Information, Dedicated Service, and Limitless Possibilities," demonstrates what makes Federal Depository Libraries unique and essential to the American public.
Because we are part of a private university, the Law Library and Technology Center's primary patrons are NSU law students, faculty and staff. We also serve the entire NSU community, NSU Law alumni, other local attorneys, and the surrounding community. Federal depository library materials are available during the LLTC's hours of operation. Other depository libraries in Florida are public libraries or universities, and might provide additional services to the general public.

Online Catalog
The shelving locations of all depository materials, as well as full bibliographic information and links to online sources, can be found by using NovaCat, the University Libraries' online catalog.
Print Collections
The LLTC chiefly collects materials that support legal research, selecting approximately 15% of available items. Many of the printed and microform publications are housed on the first floor of the LLTC. These publications are shelved/filed according to the Superintendent of Documents classification system. Some printed publications, such as the United States Reports, are housed on the second floor of the LLTC, and are shelved in the Federal section. Two other NSU Libraries – the Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center (ASLRITC), and the Oceanographic Center Library – also house some of the resources of the depository.
CDs and Other Tangible Electronic Formats
The general public may access all tangible electronic products (CD-ROMs, floppy diskettes) which are selected through the depository program. Since most government documents are now provided via the Web, the majority of our CD-ROM holdings have been withdrawn, except for a few titles which are not available online. Those which we do retain are available at the Circulation/Reserve Desk during the LLTC's hours of operation. The materials may be checked out, or used at the workstation with attached printer, located on the second floor in the Reference area.
FDLP Internet Use Policy
The Law Library & Technology Center offers the general public free access to online Federal government information provided through the FDLP, on the same principle of free access that governs the use of traditional depository materials.
Access to online Federal government information is provided via a public workstation with attached printer, located on the second floor of the LLTC, in the Reference area. You are not required to present identification in order to use this computer, and no passwords are needed.
If you wish to download online Federal government information, you may send the information via email, or download to your own storage device (such as a flash or jump drive).
A librarian is available to help you during the Reference assistance hours listed above. If you do not need help, you may access online Federal government information on your own.
