Institutional Overview- Roma Tre

Founded in 1992, Roma Tre is an innovative and dynamic law school ranked among the best in Italy. In the last five years, it has constantly been ranked between the third and the fifth among over 60 Italian law faculties. It serves as a learning center of reference both in Italy and abroad.

Dual-Degree Program

With the advent of this unique program, a select number of students are afforded the opportunity to study the common law system of the United States, as well as the civil law system of Italy. As lawyers, dual-degree graduates will have an opportunity to practice transactional law in the European Union, and to practice law in the United States and Italy.

NSU Law students attend classes in Italian at Roma Tre for one semester during their second year to study civil law. Following graduation from NSU Law, students return to Italy for a full year of study in Italian in Rome. Students that successfully complete all phases of the program will obtain both the Juris Doctor (JD) degree in the United States and the Laurea Magistrale di Giurisprudenza (Italian Law degree) in Italy.

Courses completed at either university count toward their home school degree. Italian fluency is required.

Semester Abroad Program

NSU Law students can attend classes in English at Roma Tre for one semester during their Winter semester of their second year or Fall semester of their third year to study civil law. Courses completed at Roma Tre count toward the NSU Law degree. Foreign language fluency is not required.
