Adjunct Professor Weintraub is Board Certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar. Since passing the construction law board certification exam, he has served as a board certification exam course instructor.
Consistently ranked among the top construction lawyers in Florida in surveys of attorneys and clients statewide, Adjunct Professor Weintraub has been recognized by Chambers USA- America's Leading Business Lawyers every year since 2003. He was also selected in the Best Lawyers in America from 2006 through 2012 and was selected by Florida Super Lawyers from 2007 through 2012. He also served two terms as Chair of the Florida Bar's Construction Law Committee and chaired the Broward County Construction Law Committee.
Adjunct Professor Weintraub has contributed articles such as “Lien Laws and Out-of-State Construction Projects”, in the issue of Building Profits Magazine, “New Trends for Weathering the Recession” in CFMA Building Profits, and “Recent Changes to Construction Workers' Compensation Exemptions and Licensing of Contractors”.
An active member of the legal and civic community, Adjunct Professor Weintraub served two terms as Chair of the Florida Bar's Construction Law Committee and chaired the Broward County Construction Law Committee. He is a member of the Executive Council of the Florida Bar's Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section. He serves on the Board of Directors of the South Florida Chapter of Construction Financial Managers Association.
